The PADI difference
PADI Divers have the most respected and sought-after diving qualifications in the world. No matter where you choose to learn to dive, your PADI dive certificate will be recognized and accepted. In fact, during most of your diving adventures, you will be surrounded by other PADI Divers who have made the same choice as you – be trained by the world’s largest and most respected divers training organization . Having a PADI certificate is the assurance of being truly recognized around the world, even at the most remote dive sites.
Why is PADI different?
The PADI Diversity Training System is the most pedagogically valid diving training system. PADI courses are designed to make learning effective and entertaining. Under the guidance of your professional PADI Instructor, you can gain confidence while mastering important safety concepts and techniques. PADI Instructors are trained to the highest standards of training, supported by a comprehensive and pro-active quality management system.
Performance-based learning – You progress at your own pace as you demonstrate that you have mastered the specific performance needed to become a scuba diver. You must obtain your PADI certificate, but you do so in an encouraging and well-supported learning environment.
For educational standards
All PADI programs, from beginner to instructor training, are regulated by strict pedagogical standards that are monitored to ensure consistency and international quality. PADI follows a proactive approach to quality management and sends random questionnaires to PADI Divers to ensure their courses have met the highest standards and expectations of divers. No other diver training organization works to maintain this level of professional responsibility and integrity.
For continuing training in diving
The pleasure of being a comfortable diver who dives regularly is fueled by continuing to perfect his diving techniques through continuing education. Each PADI course reinforces the previous one and you learn the techniques when you are ready to learn them. PADI Specialties allows you to explore specific interests. Professional level necks allow you to live the life style of diving by becoming a Divemaster or Diving Instructor.
For professional quality and assistance
Just as scuba divers must obtain PADI patents, PADI diving instructors must follow a development program that sets the industry standard for instructor training. Each new PADI dive instructor must demonstrate perfect knowledge of the PADI system and their ability to lead PADI programs by meeting specific criteria. Prior to becoming a PADI Diving Instructor, all candidates are assessed by a group of Elite Examiners employed by PADI. This ensures that the evaluation process is objective, fair and consistent around the world. This is just one of the reasons why PADI training is different from others in the industry.
For the quality of PADI patents
The first level PADI is very accessible but it gives you more skills you will need to dive with pleasure and safety to a depth of 18m and the first notions of autonomy.
For flexibility and freedom
With PADI, If you do not have a lot of time, you can learn and validate the 5 Open Water theory modules online at home. (E learning)
You will maintain your access to PADI courses for life and complete your training at sea at your holiday location in Thailand or anywhere in the world.
For quality teaching aids
Pedagogical Materials – Qualified instructional designers use modern technology and pedagogical theories to create PADI educational materials for you, the student diver. Educational study materials available in a variety of media – online programs, tablet applications, manuals, workbooks, multimedia discs, etc. – allow you to learn in a way that works for you. Teaching materials allow your PADI Instructor to explain important concepts in more detail and to control comprehension.
